Basic Sport Administration Course at the BOA in 2018

The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. is planning to schedule a Basic Sport Administration Course in January and February 2018.

The Basic Sports Administration Course is offered by the BOA Inc in an effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the local National Federations, and deals with many aspects, issues and innovations in sport.

Sport has made significant changes in the way it is administered, managed and marketed, placing new demands on National Federations.

In an effort to assist in bridging this gap, the Basic Sport Administration Course is presented annually.

Among the range of topics covered in the Course are, The Olympic Movement, Government and Sport, The Constitution and Governance of an Association, Preparing a Budget, Managing Finances, Strategic Planning, Organizing a Major Event, and Sport Medicine and Doping Control.

This year the Course targets the Members of the Executive Committee of the National Federations which are affiliated to the Barbados Olympic Association Inc, as well as other sporting clubs and associations.

Registration Forms are available from Dave Farmer at the Barbados Olympic Association Inc.
