The Women in Sport Commission of the BOA started its celebration of International Women’s Day 2019 with a Student-Athlete Leadership Workshop on March 8. BOA President, Mrs Sandra Osborne, Hon. Cynthia Forde, Minister People Empowerment and Elder Affairs and Mrs Patricia Bynoe, Director, Bureau of Gender Affairs made remarks and opened the workshop. 

United Nations Resident Coordinator for Barbados and Eastern Caribbean, Didier Trebucq discussed the UN Sustainable Development Goals with the students and Brand and Public Relations Manager of IGT Lotteries, Kelly King made a presentation to the students.

On Sunday, March 10, these celebrations then culminated with a Paint and Pledge event. #IWD2019 #Balanceforbetter
