The candidature process for MEMOS XXIII (September 2019 – September 2020) is open.
MEMOS is an International Executive Course in Sport Management. The objective is to provide sports managers with access to a training course of a higher education level and international significance, and to contribute towards improvement in the management of Olympic sports organisations.
This executive masters in sports management is offered by a network of universities. Each course is conducted over a period of one year, and consists of modules focusing on a specific facet of sports management (governance and strategic planning; financial management; marketing; communications and social media; human resources; and project and event management). The key element of the course is the development of a project aiming to improve an aspect of the management of the participant’s organisation. Each participant is assisted in this endeavour by an assigned tutor, with whom he or she remains in contact throughout the year. The course concludes with a project defence in front of MEMOS examining boards, followed by a public presentation of the successful projects.

Candidates who are interested in applying for this course should submit their application to The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. (BOA) by Monday, 03 June 2019.
Applicants are required to submit the following by the stipulated deadline:

After completing the form, it should be printed or scanned and submitted to BOA.
✔ Curriculum Vitae
✔ Letter of endorsement from the National Federation in support of the application for the course. This letter should confirm that the project outlined by the candidate has been discussed with the Federation prior to the submission of the application.
All applications will be reviewed and the final selection will be determined by The Barbados Olympic Association Inc.
