Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) Scholarship 2021-2022

The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. is inviting applications for a scholarship for the 2021-2022 edition of the RIOU Master of Sports Administration (MSA) course.

The MSA is a one-year full-time programme of further professional development in sports management at RIOU in Sochi, Russia. It is designed for individuals who have higher education qualifications, leadership qualities and an ambition to develop their professional expertise and make an outstanding career in sport administration.

The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. (BOA) will recommend one candidate for a scholarship, which will cover tuition fees, accommodation on the RIOU campus, and airfare (economy class). Interested persons are invited to submit their applications to the Director, National Olympic Academy, at vdcadogan@olympic.org.bb, and copied to info@olympic.org.bb, no later than Friday, 19 March 2021.

Applicants must submit the following:

    • Letter of application, which includes:
      1. information about themselves and their experience
      2. an evaluation of their leadership qualities
      3. their vision on how they are going to use the knowledge and skills they will gain through the MSA programme
    • Curriculum vitae
    • Copy of degree(s) and transcript(s) – in English
    • Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s National Federation.

Applicants should be prepared to attend an online interview on Wednesday, 24 March 2021.

Please note that RIOU will seek to make sure that every student can physically participate in the program in Sochi. However, if for any reason that is not possible, the University is prepared to allow the student to follow the program remotely.
