Yesterday in the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) action 15 year-old Hannah Gill of Barbados performed impressively in the pool to win her heat in the 800m freestyle, but unfortunately did not make the finals.
Today on the track, 16 year-old Sada Williams competed in the 400m in heat one of four. She ran well, barely missing the third place mark at the line to finish seventh overall with a time of 54.26sec and will be in the finals on Saturday August 23.
Michael Nicholls also competed and had an outstanding performance in the mens 110m hurdles. 17 year-old Nicholls came third in his heat with a time of 13.70sec and an overall position of ninth. He narrowly missed the A finals and will compete in the B finals on Saturday August 23.
