INSIDE THE BOA
About The BOA
Formed after the dissolution of the West Indies Federation in 1962, the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) first competed at the Olympic level at the 1968 Summer Olympics.
The BOA supports athletes via a variety of programs for both athletes and their National Governing Bodies – including training facilities, sports medicine and science, coaching education, health insurance, education and career services and more.
The mission of the NOCs is to develop and protect the Olympic Movement in their respective countries, in accordance with the Olympic Charter.
INSIDE THE BOA
These Commissions are the backbone of the BOA and push important mandates for the benefit of sport in Barbados.
These National Federations are the heart of the sporting community in Barbados and foster the environment needed to help our athletes to reach the global stage of sport.
The BOA is pleased to continue to bring benefits to our stakeholders through the provision of this Personal Accident Insurance program through collaboration with Empirical Insurance and Sagicor General Insurance.
