They will hear from experts on a variety of issues and will be able to examine and express their views, and make recommendations for the development of sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The NSYP will also prepare prospective candidates for participation in the annual IOA International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors (YOA). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Participants interested in attending a YOA Session should note that they will be required to deliver a presentation at NSYP 2023, as this is included in the criteria for 2023: 9:00 a.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m.<br>Sunday, 20 August 2023: 9:00 a.m. \u2013 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Criteria for Selection for NSYP<\/h4>\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list eplus-styles-uid-73a02f\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 30 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Candidates must be active in sport (athlete, coach, volunteer, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Candidates must be passionate about sport with a desire to contribute to the development of sport in their community and the country<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Candidates must assist with the creation of a NSYP group project under the auspices of the National Olympic Academy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Candidates must be willing to commit to volunteering with the National Olympic Academy on completion of NSYP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Individuals who have previously attended an International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors (YOA)\/Young Participants, or a National Session for Young Participants are not eligible to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Selection Process for NSYP<\/h4>\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list eplus-styles-uid-4a2f92\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Selection will be on a first come, first served basis*<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list eplus-styles-uid-a229db\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">20 candidates will be selected to participate in the NSYP<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><em>*Gender balance and distribution across National Federations will be considered<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Selection Process for YOA Session<\/h4>\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list eplus-styles-uid-9b03b0\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Applicants interested in being selected to participate in a YOA Session will be required to attend an interview<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A maximum of 6 participants will be shortlisted<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list eplus-styles-uid-90e7a6\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Each will be required to deliver a presentation at NSYP 2023 on a topic related to the theme of the Session<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A maximum of 2 participants (1 male and\/or 1 female) will be selected and recommended to attend a subsequent YOA Session<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h4 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Application Documents<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Interested applicants are required to submit the following:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list eplus-styles-uid-dc8a11\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Motivational letter (1 page) or short video (max. 3 minutes)*<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list eplus-styles-uid-9d4eeb\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">describing their involvement in sport (e.g., no. of years, nature of involvement, sport in which currently involved, nature of current involvement, vision for future involvement in sport, vision for future of sport, any other relevant information) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">explaining their interest in attending NSYP 2023<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list eplus-styles-uid-5ef21d\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">applicants who are interested in attending a YOA Session must also explain their interest in attending that Session<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Curriculum vitae<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Passport size photograph<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Copy of ID card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Letter from the applicant\u2019s National Federation verifying their involvement in the sport<br>and supporting their participation in NSYP 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">*Applicants must make it clear in the letter\/video if they are applying for NSYP only OR both NSYP and YOA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Submissions\/Deadline<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Applications should be sent to the Director, National Olympic
