This professional diploma programme is aimed at strengthening leadership and management capacity within sport organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">This course is tailored for individuals serving in senior roles or managing key projects within their organisations. Eligible candidates must be members of the Board, Commissions, or staff at the BOA, or individuals at the executive level, members of sub-committees or staff of NFs, or other bodies responsible for the development of sport. Prior completion of the International Olympic Committee\u2019s Sports Administrators\u2019 Course is a prerequisite for all applicants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\"><a><\/a><strong>Course Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The ASMC runs from May 8 to November 21, 2026, and will be held at the Barbados Olympic Centre, Wildey, St. Michael. A total of 14 sessions will be delivered, primarily on Saturdays and Sundays, each lasting approximately six hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Participants will immerse themselves in comprehensive modules designed to provide immediate, practical impact:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-3ee827\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Managing an Olympic Sport Organisation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Managing Strategically<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Managing Human Resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Managing Finances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Managing Marketing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Organising a Major Sport Event<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">\u201cStrong leadership and effective management are essential to the growth and sustainability of sport in Barbados. The Advanced Sport Management Course equips administrators with the practical skills and strategic insight needed to lead their organisations with confidence and impact. We encourage eligible candidates to take advantage of this valuable learning opportunity and their respective organisations to support their attendance and commit to facilitating the implementation of the strategies they develop,\u201d said Janelle Denny, Director of the National Olympic Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><a><\/a>The deadline to register for the ASMC is <strong>March 16, 2026<\/strong>. To complete their application, interested individuals must submit a curriculum vitae detailing their experience in sports and\/or sports administration, as well as their current position.
