SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST “HISTORY OF CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS”

Centro Caribe Sports is hosting a sports photography contest open to both amateur and professional photographers from its 37 member countries. Participants may submit a maximum of three original and unpublished photographs related to the sporting journey of Centro Caribe Sports. The submissions can be made from May 20 to June 16, 2024. A jury will select the best 40 photographs for a digital exhibition and award cash prizes for the top three entries. The winners and award ceremony details will be announced on the official platform of Centro Caribe Sports.

Details of the competition are outlined below:

RULES

1. The subject matter of the photographs submitted to the contest must be related to the sporting journey of the Sports Organization of Central America and the Caribbean (Odecabe – Centro Caribe Sports).

2. This photographic contest is open to all persons who wish to participate, whether professionals or amateurs, in accordance with the rules of the contest.

ADMISSION AND FORMAT

– The photographs must be the property of the author who submits them to the contest.

– Each photographer or contestant may submit a maximum of three photographs, original and unpublished. Images submitted or awarded in other contests will not be accepted.

– The size of the original photographs must be of high resolution in PNG format.

– Centro Caribe Sports reserves the right to use the contestant’s photographs with a description of the author.

– The author must also submit a form with information about the place, event, date, and brief description of the photograph.

CONTEST DEADLINES

a) The reception of the photographs is from May 20 to June 16, 2024, through the mail infocentrocaribesports@gmail.com.

b) An acknowledgement of receipt will be provided by the organization and a certificate of participation in the HISTORY OF CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS Contest.

JURY

– The jury will be composed of five members of the Commission chosen by the Executive Committee of Centro Caribe Sports, including a photographer of recognized prestige to be chosen by the organizing entity.

– The jury reserves the right to interpret the RULES of this contest and to resolve cases not contemplated, according to its best judgment.

EXHIBITION

A selection of the participating photographs will be made by the jury, with a first selection of the best forty, which will be the subject of a photographic exhibition of the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization in an activity to be announced later, and this exhibition will remain digitally on the official website of Centro Caribe Sports.

AWARDS

The following prizes will be awarded:

1. First place: US$ 1,500.00 dollars plus medal.

2. Second place: US$ 1,000.00 dollars plus diploma.

3. Third place: US$ 600.00 dollars plus diploma.

OBSERVATIONS

– The jury reserves the right to declare some, or all of the prizes void if, in its opinion, the works submitted do not meet the criteria of sufficient merit. The jury’s decision will be final.

– The winners and the award ceremony will be announced on the official platform of Centro Caribe Sports.
