ABOUT BOXING In 1977, the Boxing Board of Control, an agency set up by an act of Parliament, gave autonomy to a group of amateur boxing enthusiasts to set up and launch the Amateur Boxing Association of Barbados. This association is now known as the Barbados Boxing Association. The mission of the Barbados Boxing Association is to promote, regulate and administer the sport of boxing in the island. The Caribbean Development Championships will be held December 6-10 at the Barbados Beach Club from 6 p.m- 10 30 p.m. Boxers from over 16 countries will spar.
