Barbados is currently ranked 9th in the world by the International Federation of Netball Associations.

Over the past year Barbados has played a number of warm up matches including:

• Tri-Series in Northern Ireland: October 2013 (4 games – vs. Northern Ireland; St. Lucia and Botswana ).
• Tri-Series in Trinidad: February 2014 (2 games – vs. Trinidad and Tobago and Northern Ireland)
• Invitational Series in Barbados vs. St. Lucia: June 2014 (3 games)
• Invitational Series in Jamaica: June 2014 (3 games)

Barbados will be playing 5 matches in the Preliminary Round – Trinidad & Tobago; South Africa; Australia; Wales; England – in that order.
