The International Olympic Academy (IOA) will convene the 60th International Session for Young Participants in Greece from 23 May to 03 June 2020. The main topic for the IOA Sessions for 2020 is “Olympism and Humanism”, while the special topic for the Young Participants Session will be “Olympic Games: Human rights, diversity, and inclusion in sport”.

The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. (BOA) will support the attendance of one participant. National Federations are invited to nominate one person between the ages of 20 and 35 for consideration. Nominees should have a genuine interest in the educational aspects of the activities organized in the course of the Session. Persons who have previously attended an Annual Session for Young Participants of the IOA are not eligible to apply.
Interested applicants are required to submit the following:
- A curriculum vitae;
- A motivational letter, describing their involvement in sport and explaining their interest in attending the Session;
- Copy of birth certificate;
- A letter of endorsement from the National Federation.
The deadline for submission of all documents to BOA is Friday, 06 March 2020.
A selected number of applicants will be invited to attend an interview on Tuesday, 10 March
2020. The candidate to be recommended to IOA will be identified after the interview process.
