In the spirit of Olympism the National Olympic Academy of The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. recently unveiled a special medals podium at NAPSAC 2020. Director of the National Olympic Academy, Vaneisha Cadogan made the presentation to the Chairman of the National Sports Council, Mac Fingall.
She spoke to the students present about the three core values of Olympism – excellence, respect and friendship, explaining that the podium is a symbol of these values and was meant as a reminder for all who use them of the importance of these values during competition.
This medals podium will be made available for use at many other sporting events across Barbados in effort to spread the message of Olympism and its core values.
