ABOUT SWIMMING

The Barbados Aquatics Sports Association (BASA) was formed in 1947. The BASA is the local governing body for Swimming, Water Polo and Synchronized Swimming in Barbados. BASA promotes the culture of aquatics by creating opportunities for swimmers and coaches.

The Barbados Aquatic Centre is the hub of the Barbados Swimming fraternity featuring a 25m Learn to swim pool and the Olympic Size 50m pool. The swimming Independence Championship will be held at the Aquatic Centre, December 5–9 with a demonstration for Synchro and a Water Polo Game on December 5 at 6:00p.m. Competition starts on the December 6.
