Register Now: Advanced Sport Management Course 2025 to Start in May

The Barbados Olympic Association is inviting National Federations (NFs) to nominate candidates for the Advanced Sport Management Course 2025, a professional diploma course designed to strengthen leadership and operational expertise in sports organisations.

The course, scheduled to run from May 29 to November 22, 2025, comprises interactive sessions specifically designed for senior sport administrators and project managers. It targets board members, executive staff, and project managers from NFs and other organisations responsible for sport development. The course consists of 14 sessions, held on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Attendance at all sessions is required for successful completion of the course. Modules to be covered include Managing an Olympic Sport Organisation, Managing Human Resources, Managing Finances, and Organising a Major Sport Event.

Enrolling provides an opportunity to gain valuable insights that can drive sports development. Additionally, it enhances leadership and management skills, while allowing participants to apply proven strategies aimed at improving overall effectiveness.

Eligible participants must be:

  • Senior executives or staff of NFs 
  • Sub-committee members or project managers of NFs (with full executive support)
  • Graduates of the IOC Sports Administrators Course
