Applications Now Open for 45th PAISAC Training Program

The Barbados Olympic Association Inc.  (BOA) invites coaches to apply for the 45th edition of the International Support Program for African and Caribbean Sport (PAISAC) Training Program.

PAISAC offers high-level training in applied sports sciences, designed to equip coaches with the experience and knowledge needed for optimal training planning. This multisport programme provides both theoretical foundations and practical application, allowing coaches to tailor the knowledge gained to their specific sport and athletes’ level.

The programme is divided into two phases. Phase 1 consists of distance learning (E-Learning) from November 11 to December 13, 2025, with mandatory attendance to classes between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (Montreal time, Canada) on weekdays. Participants must have a computer with a camera and a high-speed internet connection, as attendance at all classes is mandatory. Phase 2 involves in-person training, which is scheduled to take place in Montreal from May 14 to June 5, 2026.

Olympic Solidarity (OS) offers scholarships to successful applicants to participate in PAISAC, in keeping with its plan to provide coaches with the opportunity to access high-level training resources and acquire experience and knowledge. The BOA will select one candidate to be recommended for an OS Scholarship to pursue this programme. To be eligible for an OS scholarship, applicants must:

  • Have proven coaching experience in their respective sport and be actively coaching.
  • Be committed to returning and making a sustainable contribution to their sport and the Olympic movement through application of the knowledge and experience gained from the programme.

Applicants must submit the following:

  • A cover letter outlining their objectives and expectations of their participation in the programme.
  • A curriculum vitae detailing their athletic background and coaching experience, including dates of activities.
  • A copy of their national ID card.
  • A letter of support from their National Federation, explaining why they are recommending the candidate and how their participation will benefit the sport.

Applications should be submitted to Janelle Denny, Director, National Olympic Academy, at janelle.denny@olympic.org.bb and info@olympic.org.bb by Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2025.
