Applications are open for the International Coaching Course (ICC) scheduled to run from April 1 to May 31, 2025, in Budapest, Hungary. This eight-week programme, organised by the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee and supported by Olympic Solidarity (OS), offers an unparalleled chance for coaches to elevate their skills and advance their careers.
The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. (BOA) will recommend one successful applicant for an OS Scholarship to pursue the programme. This intensive, intermediate course is designed to elevate coaching skills by offering coaches a systematic method to improve their theoretical, technical, and practical coaching knowledge.
The ICC curriculum includes 13 theoretical subjects, including Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Sport Analytics, Sport Pedagogy, Sport Psychology and Sport Management. Participants will also engage in practical coaching work at leading Hungarian sports clubs and will be tested on both theoretical and practical aspects of their respective sports.

- Judo
- Swimming
- Tennis
- Volleyball
- Water Polo
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the OS scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a member of a National Federation (NF) affiliated with one of the core sports listed above.
- Provide proof of coaching experience in the relevant sport and be actively involved in coaching.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to making a meaningful and sustainable contribution to their sport and the Olympic Movement

Coaches who are interested should apply via this link. Those wishing to apply for the OS scholarship must submit their applications no later than Wednesday, 29 January 2025, to the Director of the National Olympic Academy at janelle.denny@olympic.org.bb and copied to info@olympic.org.bb.

- Cover letter
- Curriculum vitae
- Copy of the applicant’s national ID card
- Recent health certificate
- Letter of support from their respective NF describing why they benefit from the scholarship.
Applicants will also be asked to attend an interview.
