This month, the Barbados Olympic Association Inc. (BOA), in partnership with the Coaching Association of Canada, will present the first edition of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 2 training for 2026.
Scheduled to take place from March 19–22, 2026, the programme will be led by Learning Facilitators Dr. Janelle Chase-Mayers and Anicia Wood. The goal of the programme is to provide a standardised multi-level coaching certification structure and pathway which enhances the knowledge, competencies, attitudes, and skills of local coaches.
The programme will consist of four intensive days of training held at the Barbados Olympic Centre:
- Thursday, March 19, 2026: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Friday, March 20, 2026: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday, March 21, 2026: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday, March 22, 2026: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
National Federations are encouraged to nominate at least one coach to participate in this certification programme. To be eligible, nominees must have successfully completed and been certified in NCCP Level 1.
The registration deadline is March 12, 2026.
