Kevyn Murrell is a dedicated physical education teacher, sports administrator, and former national athlete with 13 years of experience. A former national rugby player who represented Barbados at the U19, 15s, and 7s senior levels for the Scorpions Rugby Club before retiring from active play in 2020, he previously served as Vice-President of the Barbados Rugby Football Union for two terms and National Director of the Get Into Rugby Programme. Within the Barbados Olympic Association Inc. (BOA), Kevyn serves as Chair of the Barbados Athletes’ Commission (2024–2028) and sits on the BOA Board of Directors as the Athletes’ Commission Representative. His BOA service includes terms on the Sport for All Commission (2020–2023) and Education Commission (2024–present), as well as serving as an Athlete Representative on the Allocations & Funding, Marketing & Communications, and High-Performance Commissions. Regionally and globally, he is a World Rugby Certified Coach and Match Official Educator, an Athlete Representative on the Rugby Americas North Player Welfare Committee, a member of the RAN Governance Committee, and a former National Delegate to the International Olympic Academy Youth Session.
