René Seon is a communications professional with more than a decade of experience in broadcast journalism and television production, complemented by a strong background in project management, digital content, and sports promotion.
As Communications and Events Officer at the Barbados Olympic Association Inc., she combines storytelling with event coordination to showcase the Association’s work and connect audiences with Barbadian sport.
René joined the BOA in 2022 to manage its social media platforms, creating content that spotlights athletes, national teams and Olympic initiatives. Her production career, which includes work with the Caribbean Media Corporation, spans regional news and major sporting events, including serving as producer for television coverage of the CARIFTA Games. She also produces and presents Caribbean Week in Review, bringing a regional perspective and an understanding of how to engage diverse audiences.
With experience in project management, René brings both creative and organisational skills to her work. She is passionate about telling athletes’ stories and strengthening the visibility of Barbadian sport.
