Ytannia was a member of women’s committee of the Barbados Football Association and was appointed as the first team manager for the Barbados Women’s Under 20 and Senior Women’s National teams for five consecutive years. During which time she became a certified referee and level 1 coach. Ytannia relinquished her managerial post to work in the area of sport for development as Country Co-ordinator with the A Ganar program, which utilizes sports as a tool to teach at-risk youth employability skills in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Ytannia was co-opted to the Women in Sport Commission of the Barbados Olympic Association in 2011 and now chairs that committee. She also sits on the Sport for Development commission. Professionally Ytannia is a full-time mathematics lecturer at The Barbados Community College and The University of the West Indies Open Campus.
