Applications Now Open for Executive Masters in Sport Organisations Management (MEMOS XXIX)

The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. (BOA) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Executive Masters in Sport Organisations Management (MEMOS XXIX).

Running from August 2026 to September 2027, this esteemed programme is tailored for professionals in national and international sports organisations to develop the knowledge needed to more effectively manage their organisations.

Each course focuses on various elements of sports management, for example,

  • Strategic Management & Governance
  • Leadership & Human Resources Management

A key component of the programme is the MEMOS Project, which focuses on the management and performance improvement of an aspect of the student’s sport environment, including the current challenges encountered by their sport system. Further details may be obtained at MEMOS-Prospectus

Eligibility Requirements

Potential candidates should pay attention to the following requirements:

  • The candidate should be contributing to the work of a National Federation (NF).
  • The candidate must demonstrate significant management experience in a sports organisation.
  • The candidate must hold a relevant university degree or have comparable professional experience.
  • Candidates must be endorsed by their NF, which must commit to supporting the applicant’s participation.

Candidates and their NFs should align on a suitable MEMOS project before submitting the application.

Scholarship Opportunity

The BOA will select and recommend one candidate for an Olympic Solidarity Scholarship to pursue this course.
