Welcome to the official home of Team Barbados for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games. From July 24 to August 8, 2026, the Broken Trident will fly high in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, as we send one of the largest mobilisations of Barbadian sporting talent in recent history to the regional stage.
Our formidable 201-member delegation is ready to showcase true Bajan grit, professionalism, and pride.

Leadership and Support
To ensure our athletes can focus entirely on their performance, Team Barbados is backed by an elite group of officials and medical professionals:
Mission Leadership: Led by Chef de Mission Dr. Adrian Lorde, alongside Deputy Chef de Mission Mona Alleyne and Administrator Glyne Clarke.
Medical & Wellbeing Team: A comprehensive care team headed by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ingrid Burrowes. The staff includes Dr. Chloe Thompson, physiotherapists Alicia Brewster, Marita Marshall, Dr. Janae Lewis, and Abigail Lindo, as well as massage therapists Dawn Boxill and Justin Hurley.

The Barrancolí is a small bird endemic to the island, belonging to a family of birds that live only in the Caribbean area. Its cheerful song, swift flight and colourful plumage offer a true visual spectacle.
Ambassador of Biodiversity
Colí is more than a mascot: it is an ambassador of Dominican biodiversity. It reminds us that protecting nature is protecting our identity. Every tree and river we preserve helps keep its song alive and the ecological balance of our island.
